We’ve something for all the family – from our freshly carved, slow cooked roasts exactly how you like them, tasty pub food classics such as hand battered fish and steak and ale pie – all available on any day of the week. What’s more, every day we make our own fresh dough so you can tuck into freshly made stone baked pizzas and garlic bread. Or, we have a range of burgers and vegetarian dishes – and all main courses come with unlimited veg, salad and sides. With every plateful offering cracking value, it's no wonder locals in and around can't get enough. We were a party of 4, ate here 31st August.
There was one vegetarian in our party and it was no trouble to find more than one dish for her. One the whole our meals were very good, we were quite late in eating so did not expect to see such a selection or meats available so were pleasantly surprised.

A very old and beautiful decanter had a crack in it, was stained and part of the stopper was missing. And made it run back up to the top. After removing the silver collar the broken piece was removed and the stains ( sick glass) were polish out. Tags: Antique Bottle Repair, Antique Crystal repair, Antique Glass Repair, Crystal.
A few of the reviews are quite unfair l feel, l don't know what some people expect, yes the carpets could do with being replaced but we have seen worse in a few higher class restaurants and much smaller, this is a large restaurant and cater for children as well, whom we all know can be very 'mucky' eaters and not at all well behaved, if parents taught these offenders some manners l feel that food stains and also as one review mentioned food on the walls and radiators would not occur. (This was not evident by the way). At less than £4 per head it is excellent value for money. Would eat here again and recommend it to friends as a quick eatery. PSE be assured I only review if is really good OR really bad.Crown carveries, Canterbury:haven't been there for a while - disappointed!!!
Bill for two of us was around 20£, I was charged £2.50 for one mediocre coke - in what harvester would call a 'refillable glass' that wasn't!! We arrived early to beat the rush - around eleven forty ( what rush!?) breakfast. Just being finished ( fair enough), but breakfast components were still on the servery until after 12.10 ( publicity says opens at eleven!?)and they didn't actually start serving the roasts until 12.20 pm.Not impressed - neither were a few others! Veg - all veg was a tad mushy- obviously overcooked, meat looked ok, but the portion wasnt really big enough to assess the quality properly. If this is the current standard of Crown carveries then its no wonder not many people were there, granted tomorrow's bank holiday, but to my mind people don't mind paying a bit extra for that 'Bit extra!' Which didn't happen!! I will not be going back there in a hurry- Crown always came first in my opinion - not any more - keep it!!!
AND the RIP OFF drinks prices!!! This chain offers what must be the cheapest carvery in the business.
At under £4 each it is incredible value. Pay a bit more and you get even more to eat. Watching the piled-high plates go past, one wonders how people could eat that much, but they do.
It is 'fast food' with a big difference; the turn-over is phenomenal. We have eaten here many times and this visit was the first for at least a year; nothing had changed.
It certainly isn't 'fine dining' but they make up in quantity any shortcomings in quality. If you're in the area and you're hungry - try it, you'll like it!
Thursday, April 11th, 2013 Posted inComments Off on crystal repair chipped crystal pitcher with a crack The old crystal pitcher has been in the family for many years. It has served many cold drinks at grandmas house. The sentimental value is the motivation for the repair. A crack has run from the top down the left side of the handle almost to the bottom. The plan is to run the crack around the bottom of the handle and up the right side of the handle to the top. Controlling the path the crack takes is critical.
I have spend years refining this skill.
